COMMERCE CITY, Colo., May 25 (UPI) -- Jesse Marsch and Jorge Flores scored Saturday to lead Chivas USA past the Colorado Rapids 2-1.
Even with the loss, Colorado held the top spot in the MLS West -- but only briefly, as the Los Angeles Galaxy took sole possession of first place with a 3-1 victory over Kansas City Saturday night.
Chivas USA took the lead over Colorado just before the first half break, when Marsch scored his second goal in as many games. Flores scored in the 78th minute for a 2-0 lead and Colorado's Tom McManus scored for the home team in the 80th minute.
