The Tigers beat Texas 19-3 April 23.
Detroit broke a 2-2 tie with a four-run third and then scored six runs in the fourth and added seven more runs in the fifth.
Gary Sheffield had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored. Two other players had two RBI each, two runs scored on errors, and Placido Polanco -- one of four players with one RBI -- finished with four runs and four hits for the Tigers, who have won four of their last five games.
The winner was starter Nate Robertson (2-5).
Minnesota got Alexi Casilla's two-run homer in the top of the third and Matt Macri's RBI single in the fourth. Macri, making his major league debut, and Justin Morneau had two hits each for the twins, who have dropped three of four.
The losing pitcher was starter Boof Bonser (2-6).
