MIAMI, May 25 (UPI) -- Dan Uggla's two-out bases-loaded single in the ninth inning lifted the Florida Marlins over San Francisco 5-4 Sunday for a doubleheader sweep.
With the score tied 4-4, Uggla -- who hit a two-run homer in Florida's 8-6 win in the first game -- slammed a fastball through the middle to score Wes Helms with the winning run.
Jorge Cantu slugged a home run and drove in three runs for the Marlins, who have won five of their last six games. Cantu also homered in the first game.
Kevin Gregg (4-2) pitched a scoreless ninth and picked up the win.
Tyler Walker (2-3) was the loser, allowing a run and two hits in 1 1/3 innings of relief.
The Giants' Omar Vizquel played in his 2,584th game at shortstop, passing Luis Aparicio for the most games at that position in major league history.
