MLB: Arizona 9, Atlanta 3

ATLANTA, May 25 (UPI) -- Eric Byrnes walloped a grand slam home run and Chris Young drove in two runs for Arizona Sunday, leading the Diamondbacks past Atlanta 9-3.

Byrnes's blast put Arizona ahead 6-3 in the fifth inning. Young homered in the first and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth.

Orlando Hudson hit three doubles and drove in a run for the Diamondbacks.

Micah Owings (6-2) was the winner, allowing three runs and six hits in six-plus innings.

Omar Infante and Yunel Escobar each had an RBI for the Braves.

The loser, Tom Glavine (2-2) gave up six runs in 4 2/3 innings.
