The Lakers took a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals, which continue Sunday with Game 3 in San Antonio.
After letting a 20-point, third-quarter lead disappear in a Game 1 loss, the defending champion Spurs stayed with the Lakers through most of the first half Friday. A tip-in by Tim Duncan with 4:34 left in the second quarter brought San Antonio within one.
Los Angeles, however, went on a 14-6 run to end the second quarter, with half the points coming from Bryant and Gasol.
The Spurs collapsed in the second half under the weight of a 54 percent shooting performance by the Lakers.
Bryant led the way with 22 points, Lamar Odom had 20 and Gasol 10.
Tony Parker paced San Antonio in scoring with just 13 points. Tim Duncan had 12 points and 16 rebounds.
