Tommie Harris' wife dies

COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 24 (UPI) -- Supplemental draft pick Kheli Dube scored his second game winner in as many games Saturday to give New England a 1-0 MLS victory over Columbus.
With the game in a scoreless draw in the closing minutes, Crew left back Ezra Hendrickson took down New England captain Steve Ralston in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick. Shalrie Joseph, who doesn't have a goal yet this season, fired to the right side. Crew goalkeeper Will Hesmer made the save but Dube drove the rebound past him.
The win moved New England into a tie with Columbus for the Eastern Conference lead.
The loss ended Columbus' six-game unbeaten streak and spoiled its previously perfect home record.
