CHICAGO, May 24 (UPI) -- Jered Weaver hurled eight scoreless innings Saturday to key the Los Angeles Angels' 2-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.
The 6-foot-7 inch right-hander walked two batters and struck out six while improving his 2008 record to 4-5.
Premier closer Francisco Rodriguez earned his major-league best 21st save and his fourth in as many games.
Vladimir Guerrero hit a solo homer and Casey Kotchman added an RBI single in the top of the sixth to produce the game's only runs.
The Angels improved to 4-2 in the season series.
Kotchman, Torri Hunter and Gary Matthews Jr. all had two hits in the Angels' fifth win in their last six games.
Three players had one hit for the White Sox, who committed two errors in their second straight loss on the heels of an eight-game winning streak.
Losing pitcher John Danks (3-4) allowed two earned runs and five hits in five innings.
