ATLANTA, May 24 (UPI) -- Jeff Francoeur's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth Saturday lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 3-1 win over Arizona.
Francoeur launched his fifth round-tripper this season into the left-field seats off Chad Qualls following Chipper Jones's lead-off single against losing pitcher Doug Slaten (0-1).
The contest was tied 1-1 after Atlanta's Yunel Escobar's third-inning RBI single was matched by Arizona pinch-hitter Augie Ojeda in the seventh.
Jones and Francoeur had two hits apiece for the Braves, who have won six of their last seven games.
The winning pitcher was Blaine Boyer (1-3).
Atlanta used four pitchers, including starter Jorge Campillo. In all, the quartet gave up only three hits.
Arizona starter Randy Johnson yielded an earned run and five hits in six innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
