PORTSCHACH, Austria, May 21 (UPI) -- Daniel Gimeno-Traver was an upset winner Wednesday at the Hypo Group International tournament in Austria and earned a third-round date with Ivan Ljubicic.
Gimeno-Traver surprised fifth-seeded Sam Querrey with a solid 6-1, 6-3 win in second-round play. His quarterfinal opponent will be Ljubicic, the No. 3 seed, who ousted Ivan Navarro, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, in his second-round match.
