MLB: Houston 4, Chicago Cubs 2

HOUSTON, May 21 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence's second career grand slam provided all of the Houston Astros' runs Tuesday in a 4-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Pence was 3-for-4 at the plate for the Astros.

Chris Sampson held the Cubs to two runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings to even his record at 3-3 as Houston won for the second time in three games.

Ryan Dempster (5-2) allowed four runs on six hits in six innings to take the loss.

Chicago, which lost for the second time in seven games, got its runs on a two-run homer from Aramis Ramirez.
