
MIAMI, May 20 (UPI) -- Closer Kevin Gregg, coming on with the bases loaded and one out in the eighth, got the last five outs for Florida Tuesday in a 3-2 win over Arizona.
Gregg's eighth save of the season gave the win to Mark Hendrickson (6-2), who held the Diamondbacks to four hits and one run with seven strikeouts and a walk, but lasted only five innings.
Dan Uggla went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for the Marlins.
Arizona starter Micah Owings (5-2), suffered the loss despite 10 strikeouts as he gave up three runs on seven hits in seven innings. Chris Snyder homered for the Diamondbacks.
Renyel Pinto started the eighth inning for Florida, and issued three straight one-out walks to Chris Young, Augie Ojeda and Conor Jackson before Gregg's five-out save.
