NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- Jose Reyes slugged a three-run home run for the New York Mets, who buried the New York Yankees 11-2 Sunday.
The Mets had two big innings, scoring four runs in the fourth and six in the eighth.
Ryan Church homered and drove in two runs, and Moises Alou had three RBI for the Mets, who scored 18 runs in a two-game weekend sweep.
Oliver Perez allowed the two Yankee runs and just three hits in 7 2/3 innings for his fourth win against three losses.
Losing pitcher Chien-Ming Wang (6-2) also went 7 2/3 innings, giving up seven runs and six hits.
Hideki Matsui's two-run homer provided the Yankees' runs.
