MLS: Los Angeles 5, FC Dallas 1

FRISCO, Texas, May 18 (UPI) -- Edson Buddle's hat trick Sunday powered the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 5-1 Major League Soccer victory over Dallas FC.

The Galaxy fired in four goals during a 14-minute stretch of the first half, two of them by Buddle, who scored again late in the match.

Los Angeles (3-3-2) had lost its two previous contests.

Chris Klein and Landon Donovan also registered goals for the Galaxy.

Dominic Oduro scored for Dallas (2-3-3)
