SEATTLE, May 18 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre's two-run homer capped a three-run seventh inning Saturday when the Seattle Mariners slipped past San Diego 4-2.

Beltre's game-winner came after Ichiro Suzuki's RBI double created a 2-2 tie. Suzuki and Jamie Burke had two hits apiece for the Mariners, who have won two of three.

The winner was starter Erik Bedard (3-2), who yielded two earned runs and five hits in eight innings with a walk and 10 strikeouts.

Closer J.J. Putz recorded his fourth save this season.

Suzuki's first-inning stolen base gave him 290 as a Mariner, tying him with Julio Cruz for the club record.

San Diego's Adrian Gonzalez launched a two-run homer in the fourth. Brian Giles had two of the six hits for the Padres, who have lost three of four.

The losing pitcher was Randy Wolf (2-4).
