Cabrera hit a solo homer in the sixth inning and a two-run blast in the seventh. Carlos Quentin and Joe Crede also homered for the White Sox.
Ray Durham, Jose Castillo and Bengie Molina each drove in two runs for the Giants, who have lost five straight games.
Reliever Matt Thornton (1-0) pitched two-thirds of an inning and got the win. Tyler Walker (1-2) allowed four hits and three runs in one inning and was tagged with the loss.
