UNCASVILLE, Conn., May 17 (UPI) -- Tamika Whitmore had 22 points and 10 rebounds Saturday when the Connecticut Sun spoiled the first game in Atlanta Dream history with a 100-68 rout.
Asjha Jones added 18 points in just 21 minutes for the Sun, who are looking to reach the playoffs for the sixth straight season.
Betty Lennox scored 19 points for the expansion Dream.
Atlanta shot 28-of-71 from the floor and was out-rebounded 53 to 29.
