Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

ST. LOUIS, May 16 (UPI) -- Andy Sonnanstine gave up a run over eight innings Friday and helped bring the Tampa Bay Rays a 3-1 victory over St. Louis.
The Cardinals lost for the eighth time in 10 games.
Sonnanstine (6-1) allowed eight hits, did not walk a batter and struck out four in pitching the Rays to their eighth win in nine contests. Troy Percival worked a perfect ninth for his 11th save.
Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena singled in runs in the third and Akinori Iwamura drove in another Tampa Bay run with a single in the fourth.
Braden Looper (5-3) took the loss, giving up three runs on 10 hits in six innings.
The Cardinals' lone run came on Chris Duncan's homer in the eighth.
