CLEVELAND, May 14 (UPI) -- C.C. Sabathia scattered up five hits and two walks while going the distance Wednesday, carrying Cleveland to a 2-0 victory over Oakland.

Sabathia (3-5) struck out 11. It was the 13th time in his career he had fanned at least 10 batters.

He stretched the scoreless innings streak by Cleveland starters to 43 1/3. Of the 117 pitches thrown by Sabathia, 77 were strikes.

Grady Sizemore and Ryan Garko hit solo homers, and Jhonny Peralta doubled twice. The Indians have won five out of six.

Oakland's Joe Blanton (2-6) surrendered four hits and two walks in seven innings. The Athletics have lost four of their last five.

Sizemore's homer came on Blanton's second pitch of the game. It was his 14th career lead-off shot. Garko hit his homer in the fourth.
