Glavine (1-1) got the triumph in his seventh start. Atlanta is only 2-5 in the games he has started this year.
Yunel Escobar, Chipper Jones and Kelly Johnson all hit solo homers during the first two innings, igniting the Braves to an 8-0 advantage.
Glavine, who became one of baseball's best pitchers with Atlanta before spending time with the New York Mets, allowed four hits and four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Blaine Boyer, the Braves' fifth pitcher, recorded the final four outs and picked up his first save despite giving up three hits and a run.
The loss went to Brett Myers (2-4), who surrendered all of the Atlanta runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.
Chase Utley hit a two-run homer as part of Philadelphia's four-run sixth inning.
