MLB: Cincinnati 5, Florida 3

CINCINNATI, May 13 (UPI) -- Rookie Edinson Volquez held the Marlins to one run through six innings Tuesday in the Cincinnati Reds' 5-3 win over Florida.

Reds shortstop Jeff Keppinger left with a broken kneecap after fouling a ball off his left knee in the second inning. Keppinger leads Cincinnati with a .324 batting average and 21 RBI. X-rays revealed the fracture, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI Wednesday.

Volquez (6-1) scattered seven hits and two walks.

Joey Votto was 2-for-3 with a solo homer for Cincinnati.

Mark Hendrickson (5-2) allowed four runs on eight hits and five walks in five innings. Cody Ross hit a pinch-hit solo homer to make it a two-run game in the eighth,
