DETROIT, May 10 (UPI) -- Darrell Rasner gave up two earned runs and only four hits in six innings Saturday to help the New York Yankees record a 5-2 win at Detroit.

One of Derek Jeter's two hits was a solo home run in the top of the first, his first round-tripper this season.

Melky Cabrera drove in a run with the bases loaded in the same inning and later, Wilson Betemit, Bobby Abreu and Jason Giambi added RBI hits. Abreu also had two hits.

Betemit left the contest after he strained his right hamstring on his RBI double.

Closer Mariano Rivera earned his 10th save.

Detroit got Matt Joyce's solo homer in the first and Garry Sheffield's RBI double in the seventh. Joyce and Magglio Ordonez had two hits each for the Tigers, who have split their last four games.

Starting and losing pitcher Jeremy Bonderman (2-4) surrendered five earned runs on six hits in four innings.
