DARLINGTON, S.C., May 10 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch won Saturday night's Dodge Challenger 500 Sprint Cup Series race at the Darlington Raceway by finishing 3.115 seconds ahead of Carl Edwards.

The victory was Busch's third of the season and seventh of his "Cup" career.

Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and David Ragan completed the top five.

Busch had a Lap 142 drive-through penalty for a lug nut problem, but battled back and moved ahead of Gordon on Lap 270 to retake the lead.
