MILWAUKEE, May 9 (UPI) -- A two-run, two-out single by Richie Weeks in the ninth Friday rallied Milwaukee to a 4-3 win over St. Louis and ended the Brewers' six-game losing streak.

St. Louis had owned a 3-2 lead since the fourth inning and closer Jason Isringhausen retired the first two men he faced in the ninth.

J.J. Hardy, however, singled to center and pinch-hitter Gabe Kapler singled Hardy to second. Jason Kendall then drew a walk to load the bases and Weeks hit a 1-0 pitch from Isringhausen (1-4) deep to left to drive in the tying and winning runs.

It was the Cardinals' third straight loss.

Brian Shouse (3-0) pitched a perfect top of the ninth to get the win.

The Brewers returned home after a 2-7 road trip that concluded with back-to-back sweeps at the hands of Houston and Florida.

Albert Pujols hit his seventh homer of the season, a solo homer in the first, for the Cardinals.
