KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 9 (UPI) -- Homers by Melvin Mora and Aubrey Huff accounted for five runs Friday and rallied the Baltimore Orioles to a 7-4 win over Kansas City.
The Orioles have defeated the Royals 11 straight times.
Steve Trachsel (2-4) gave up two runs in the first inning, but settled down to allow five hits over 5 1/3 innings to get the win. He had not won a game since April 4.
George Sherrill, the fifth Baltimore pitcher, worked the ninth to earn his 12th save.
Gil Meche (2-5) took the loss, giving up six hits and five runs over five innings.
Mora hit a two-run homer in the third to tie the game and Huff added a three-run shot in the fifth that made it 5-2.
