MLB: Chi. White Sox 6, Minnesota 2

CHICAGO, May 8 (UPI) -- Jose Uribe blasted a key two-run homer Thursday to help the Chicago White Sox rally past Minnesota 6-2.

Uribe's third homer this season followed a solo shot by Jermaine Dye in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Chicago erased a 2-0 deficit.

Toby Hall and Carlos Quentin both drove in one run each and a run scored on Matt Tolbert's eighth inning throwing error. Dye and Quentin had two hits apiece for the White Sox, who had dropped seven of their previous eight games.

Winner John Danks (3-3) surrendered two earned runs and six hits in five innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Tolbert and Joe Mauer drove in one run each, with Mauer and Delmon Young both recording two hits for the Twins, who had won six of seven.

Losing pitcher Kevin Slowey (0-2) allowed three earned runs and four hits in five innings, including both homers.
