ORLANDO, Fla., May 7 (UPI) -- A 33-point performance by Rashard Lewis and an injury to Chauncey Billups Wednesday resulted in Orlando running away from Detroit 111-86.

The Magic reduced its deficit to 2-1 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Dwight Howard added 20 points with 12 rebounds and six blocks for Orlando. The Magic got 18 points each from Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu.

Lewis made 11 of 15 shots from the field and hit five of six from three-point range.

Billups suffered a strained right hamstring in the first period and did not return. Nevertheless, the Pistons were within four heading into the final period before being overwhelmed down the stretch.

Orlando outscored the Magic in the fourth period 38-17.

Richard Hamilton scored 24 to lead the Pistons and Tayshaun Prince had 22.

Orlando will try to even the series when it hosts Game 4 Saturday.
