SEATTLE, May 6 (UPI) -- Richie Sexson and Wladimir Balentien homered Monday, powering the Seattle Mariners to a 7-3 win over the Texas Rangers that ended their five-game losing streak.
Besides the three runs Balentien drove in and Sexson's homer, the Mariners also got two RBI from Raul Ibanez, who doubled twice. Jose Lopez also had an RBI and scored once while going 2-for-4.
Jarrod Washburn (2-4) held the Rangers to the three runs on four hits in six-plus innings but had to leave the game after feeling tightness in his right calf.
The loss went to Kevin Millwood (2-3) who surrendered seven runs on nine hits in just three innings. Millwood has the dubious distinction of holding the Texas record for most consecutive losses on the road at 10.
Josh Rupe came in and gave the Rangers four innings of one-hit ball, but they still dropped their second straight after a four-game winning streak.
Milton Bradley drove in two runs for the Rangers and Michael Young finished 2-for-4 with a run scored.
