OAKLAND, Calif., May 6 (UPI) -- Emil Brown's two-out single in the bottom of the 10th Monday drove in Daric Barton for a 2-1 Oakland Athletics victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Barton had singled and Frank Thomas walked before Brown stroked a hit to left-center field. Brown finished with three hits as the Athletics won their second straight game.

Rajai Davis drove in Oakland's other run.

A's starter Dana Eveland shut out the Orioles for seven-plus innings, allowing just three hits. Joey Devine (3-0) struck out two batters in the 10th for the win.

Baltimore, which has lost three straight, got its only run on a hit by Ramon Hernandez.

Baltimore starter Garrett Olson scattered four hits and a run over 6 1/3 innings. Jim Johnson (0-1) suffered the loss.

The Orioles stranded a runner at third in the eighth and the A's did the same in the ninth.
