MLB: Chicago White Sox 7, Minnesota 1

CHICAGO, May 6 (UPI) -- Gavin Floyd took a no-hitter into the ninth inning and Jermaine Dye homered and had two RBI Tuesday in a 7-1 Chicago White Sox victory over Minnesota.

Floyd (3-1) held the Twins to just one unearned run and one hit in 8 1/3 innings for the White Sox, who ended a six-game losing streak.

Five Chicago players had two hits, including Carlos Quentin, who also had two RBI. Joe Crede and Juan Uribe each collected a pair of hits and an RBI.

Nick Blackburn (2-2) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on six hits in six innings.

Joe Mauer broke up Floyd's no-hitter in the ninth with a double and Jason Kubel had the lone Minnesota RBI.
