VIRGINIA WATER, England, May 5 (UPI) -- Australian star Adam Scott climbed to No. 3 Monday in the official World Golf Ranking.
Scott, who was ranked fifth last week, moved ahead of Ernie Els and Steve Stricker after tying for eighth-place in the Wachovia tournament in North Carolina.

Twenty-two-year-old Anthony Kim, winner of the event, moved up to No. 16. Kim's new ranking is a jump of 21 from his previous place on the world list. The young player's five-shot victory was his first on the PGA Tour.
Tiger Woods remains No. 1 with Phil Mickelson, Scott, Els and Stricker completing the top five.
Geoff Ogilvy, Jim Furyk, K.J. Choi, Vijay Singh and Justin Rose, in order, round out the top 10
Furyk and Choi swapped places on the list this week.
