NHL: Pittsburgh 3, N.Y. Rangers 2 (OT)

PITTSBURGH, May 4 (UPI) -- Marian Hossa's overtime goal, his second score of the game, sent Pittsburgh into the Eastern Conference finals Sunday with a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers.

The Penguins won the series 4-1 and will take on Philadelphia for the conference title.

Hossa scored on a broken play in overtime after getting the puck on a deflection off Ranger Dan Girardi's skate.

The Penguins grabbed a 2-0 lead on second-period goals by Hossa and Evgeni Malkin.

New York battled back in the third, tying the score on goals by Nigel Dawes and Lauri Korpikoski within a span of 1:22.

Winning goalie Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 20 saves.

Henrik Lundqvist had 37 for the Rangers.
