PRAGUE, Czech Republic, May 3 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Vera Zvonareva was a fairly easy 6-2, 6-4 winner against Victoria Azarenka in one semifinal at the $145,000 Prague Open in the Czech Republic.
After Azarenka forged a 4-4 tie in the second set, Zvonareva won the last two games in her battle with the native of Slovenia to reach her fourth final this season.
The Russian faces No. 3 seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus Sunday.
Azarenka was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over seventh-seeded Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic.
Zvonareva's career record against Azarenka is 2-0, but those wins came in hard-court matches.
"(This) is a clay court, so we'll see what's going to happen," Zvonareva said.
Zvonareva tries for her sixth tournament title, while Azarenka searches for the first in the third final of her career.
