Loren Roberts and Scott Simpson both shot 66 to share second place at 10-under 134, with Tim Simpson (69) and Denis Watson (70) three strokes further back at 137.

No one else was within five shots of Price, a three-time major champion and an 18-time PGA Tour winner.

This is the first time Price will carry a lead into the final round of a Champions Tour event. He won the 1994 British Open and the 1992 and 1994 PGA Championships.

Defending champion Scott Hoch (71) was tied for sixth place with Fred Funk (71) and Bob Gilder (70) at 6-under 138.
