Cincinnati Bengal's WR Henry dies

MUNICH, Germany, May 2 (UPI) -- No. 1-seeded Paul-Henri Mathieu survived a three-set challenge Friday and qualified for the semifinals of the BMW Open tennis tournament.
Mathieu was taken to a third set by eighth-seeded Marin Cilic he finished off a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory.
Second-seeded Fernando Gonzalez ended the run of Marat Safin, a wild-card entrant to the BMW Open, with a 6-3, 7-5 quarterfinal win Friday.
The other matches Friday saw Simone Bolelli defeat Lee Hyung-taik 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) and Younes El Aynaoui top Juan Martin Del Potro 6-4, 6-4.
Saturday's semifinals have Mathieu playing Bolelli and Gonzalez going against El Aynaoui. The winners of those matches will meet Sunday for the tournament champion with $90,000 going to the champion.
