LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Swingman Chace Stanback has become the third underclassman to leave the UCLA men's basketball program since the 2007-08 season ended.
Stanback, a 6-foot-8 guard/forward from Los Angeles and the 2007 California Division I Player of the Year, has decided to transfer to a yet to be named school.
Last season, he played in 25 of the Bruins' 39 games, averaging less than 1 minute and about 1 point per contest.
"After speaking with my family and thinking about it for a long time, I feel that it is in my best interest to explore other opportunities," Stanback said on UCLA's Web site.
"Chace is an outstanding young man and we appreciate what he did for this program this past year," said UCLA Coach Ben Howland.
Freshman center Kevin Love and junior forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will enter the NBA draft in June.
