Detroit won the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series 4-2 and will take on Orlando in the semifinals. The Pistons will have the home-court advantage to start that series.
Hamilton scored the game's first seven points, Detroit built a 10-0 lead and the Pistons were never threatened. They owned an 18-point advantage after both the first and second periods and led by as many as 32 in the second half.
Hamilton finished with 24 points. Chauncey Billups added 20 and Tayshaun Prince had 12.
The Pistons hit a staggering 58 percent of their shots from the field and held the 76ers to 33 percent. Detroit made nine of 16 three-point attempts.
Philadelphia, which was making its first playoff appearance in three years, was led by Andre Iguodala with 16 points.
