
NEW YORK, April 30 (UPI) -- Nate McLouth and Xavier Nady drove in three runs each Wednesday to power Pittsburgh's 13-1 rout of the New York Mets.
McLouth, who drew a bases-loaded walk for one RBI in a seven-run top of the second inning, added a two-run double in the five-run sixth. He also scored twice and lifted his batting average to .342.
Nady also had two runs and three hits.
Freddy Sanchez had two hits and two RBI, while Pittsburgh scored nine runs on three New York errors.
Winner Tom Gorzelanny (2-3) gave up one earned run on just two hits in five innings with five walks and four strikeouts.
New York's lone run scored on Ryan Church's sixth-inning double.
Carlos Delgado had the other hit for the Mets, whose three-game winning streak crashed.
Losing pitcher Oliver Perez (2-2) was charged with seven runs -- two earned -- two hits and five walks in 1 2/3 innings.
