PHOENIX, April 27 (UPI) -- Raja Bell scored 27 points Sunday for the Phoenix Suns, who avoided elimination by pounding the San Antonio Spurs 105-86 in Game 4 of their playoff series.

Bell hit eight of 11 shots, five from three-point range.

The Spurs, leading the Western Conference series 3-1, will try to close out the Suns Tuesday in San Antonio.

Boris Diaw had 20 points, Steve Nash 15 and Shaquille O'Neal 14 for Phoenix, which raced to a 34-13 first-quarter lead and never trailed.

Tony Parker scored 18 points and Tim Duncan 14 for San Antonio, which made only 39 percent of its field goals.
