
SAN DIEGO, April 26 (UPI) -- Tadahito Iguchi's solo homer in the bottom of the 13th inning Saturday gave the San Diego Padres an 8-7 win over Arizona.
In their third extra inning contest this week, the Padres squandered leads of 4-0 and 5-2.
Arizona went ahead 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth on Chris Burke's RBI groundout and an RBI double by starter Micah Owings.
San Diego went up 7-6 on Adrian Gonzalez's two-run single in the sixth. Conor Jackson's RBI single in the seventh created a 7-7 tie before Iguchi's blast.
Gonzalez had three hits and three RBI. Brian Giles hit a solo homer in the fourth.
Paul McAnulty had two RBI while Iguchi scored three times for the Padres, who snapped a five- game losing streak.
Winner Glendon Rusch (1-2) yielded two hits in four scoreless relief innings with two walks and four strikeouts.
Owings had three hits and Curtis Young hit a two-run homer for the Diamondbacks.
The losing pitcher was Yusmeiro Petit (0-1).
