MLB: Chi. White Sox 6, Baltimore 5

CHICAGO, April 26 (UPI) -- Brian Anderson's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth Saturday gave the Chicago White Sox a 6-5 win over Baltimore and a double-header split.

Chicago built a 5-2 lead against starter Steve Trachsel on Nick Swisher's two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth. Baltimore forged a 5-5 tie on Kevin Millar's solo homer in the sixth and RBI hits by Brian Roberts and Melvin Mora in the seventh.

Swisher was one of four players with two hits for the White Sox, who lost the opener 5-1.

The winner was Bob Jenks (2-0).

Mora and Luke Scott had two hits apiece for the Orioles, who had won five of their previous six games against the White Sox.

Chicago starter Mark Buehrle gave up three earned runs and three hits in six innings, with two walks and five strikeouts.

The losing pitcher was reliever Randor Bierd (0-1).

Trachsel surrendered five runs -- four earned -- and five hits in three innings, with four walks and five strikeouts.
