PITTSBURGH, April 25 (UPI) -- Chris Coste drove in three runs Friday to help Philadelphia open a six-run lead and the Phillies hung on to down Pittsburgh 6-5.
Jayson Werth had two RBI, one of them coming on a solo homer, in Philadelphia's fifth win in six games.
The Phillies' Brad Harman made his first major league start a memorable one with a run-scoring double. Harman started at second base place of Chase Utley, who was moved to first while the struggling Ryan Howard sat out his second straight game.
Tom Gordon (2-2) got the win in relief with one scoreless inning of work. Brad Lidge pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his sixth save.
The loss went to Zach Duke (0-2), who gave up six runs on nine hits in six innings.
Werth and Utley both walked with one out in the first and Coste doubled both runners home. Werth's homer in the third gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead.
