MLB: Tampa Bay 5, Toronto 3

KISSIMMEE, Fla., April 24 (UPI) -- Carl Crawford had three hits, stole two bases, scored once and drove in a run Thursday, leading the Tampa Bay Rays past Toronto 5-3.

The Rays swept Toronto in the three games played at the Disney Sports Complex.

Andy Sonnanstine (3-1) gave up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings to get the win. Troy Percival picked up his fourth save, three of which came in this series.

The loss went to Dustin McGowan (1-2), who was roughed up for five runs on four hits and seven walks in four-plus innings.

Tampa Bay faced a 3-2 deficit going into the fifth, but Crawford opened the inning with a single and promptly stole second. B.J. Upton then walked and Carlos Pena also drew a walk to load the bases.

McGowan was lifted for Brian Tallet, who gave up a sacrifice fly to Even Longoria that tied the game.

Eric Hinske reached on a fielder's-choice grounder to second, on which Upton scored. One out later, Dioner Navarro singled in Pena with the final run of the game.
