MLB: Colorado 4, Chi. Cubs 2

DENVER, April 24 (UPI) -- Matt Holliday scored the go-ahead run on a fielder's choice ground out in the bottom of the eighth inning Thursday in Colorado's 4-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Holliday scored from third base when Ryan Theriot made a fielding error on Troy Tulowitzki's grounder to shortstop.

Ryan Spillborghs followed with an RBI single.

Colorado's Chris Iannetta hit a solo homer in the seventh.

Todd Helton drove in a run.

Scott Podsednik had a run and three hits, while starter and winner Aaron Cook added two hits for the Rockies, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Cook (3-1) gave up two earned runs and only four hits in eight innings with three walks and five strikeouts.

Brian Fuentes earned his first save this season.

Chicago's Mike Fontenot and Felix Pie drove in a run apiece.

Pie had two of the four hits for the Cubs, whose season-high six-game winning streak ended.

The losing pitcher was reliever Kevin Hart (0-1).
