NBA: Boston 104, Atlanta 81

BOSTON, April 21 (UPI) -- Ray Allen led the Boston Celtics with 18 points Sunday in a 104-81 Eastern Conference playoff-opening rout of the Atlanta Hawks.

Game 2 of the series will be in Boston Wednesday.

Six players scored in double figures for the Celtics, including Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce with 16 points apiece and Rajon Rondo with 15.

Allen scored 10 straight points during a Boston run in the third quarter.

Rookie Al Horford had 20 points and Joe Johnson 19 for the Hawks, who made just 38.2 percent of their field goal attempts.
