MLB: St. Louis 4, Milwaukee 3

MILWAUKEE, April 21 (UPI) -- Skip Schumaker drove in the winning run in the ninth inning Monday to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Troy Glaus drove in a pair of runs for St. Louis.

Ryan Franklin (1-1) got the win after allowing one run on three hits in one inning of relief. Adam Wainwright started for the Cardinals and gave up two runs on four hits in seven innings.

Rickie Weeks, Ryan Braun and Corey Hart each drove in a run for the Brewers.

Derrick Turnbow (0-1) was charged with the loss after giving up the winning run in the ninth. Milwaukee starter Carlos Villanueva gave up two runs on three hits in seven innings.
