Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PITTSBURGH, April 21 (UPI) -- Dan Uggla had three hits, including a home run, Monday to lead a 16-hit attack for the Florida Marlins in a 10-4 beating of Pittsburgh.
Josh Willingham and Hanley Ramirez also homered for Florida. Willingham, Jorge Cantu, Mike Rabelo and Alfredo Amezaga each had two hits and Willingham and Rabelo each had two RBI in the Marlins third straight win.
Mark Hendrickson (4-1) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits, walking just one in eight innings. Hendrickson also had a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored.
Matt Morris (0-3) gave up eight runs on nine hits in four innings for Pittsburgh, which lost its sixth in a row.
Xavier Nady had two RBI for the Bucs.
