MEXICALI, Mexico, April 20 (UPI) -- Super Bowl champion quarterback Eli Manning has married college sweetheart Abby McGrew in an intimate ceremony in Mexico, their wedding planner divulged.

The New York Giants quarterback and his fiancee were married Saturday in front of nearly 40 people, including Manning's brother and fellow NFL standout, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, the New York Post reported Sunday.

The NFL siblings were also joined by their brother Cooper, who acted as best man along with the Colts star.

Wedding planner Karen Kaforey said the seaside ceremony at the One & Only Palmilla resort was designed to the couple's intimate specifications.

"Everything in their lives is so big, I think they wanted this wedding to be really small and elegant and intimate," Kaforey told the Post.

The 27-year-old Giants star proposed to his 24-year-old longtime girlfriend in March 2007. They have been dating since they met at the University of Mississippi.
