HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C., April 19 (UPI) -- Defending champion Boo Weekley carded a 6-under 65 Saturday to take a three-shot lead heading into Sunday's final round of the Heritage Golf Classic.
Weekley, who won a Monday finish last year when he chipped in for par on his last two holes, was 15-under 198 through three rounds. Anthony Kim posted a 4-under 67 Saturday to move into second place at 12-under 201.
Aaron Baddeley (67), Jason Bohn (67) and Cliff Kresge (68) were tied for third at 10-under 203. Jim Furyk (68) was at nine-under 204.
Weekley beat Ernie Els in last year's Heritage for his only PGA Tour victory. He will try Sunday to become the first back-to-back winner at this tournament since Davis Love III, a five-time Heritage champion, won it in 1991-92.
