SAN DIEGO, April 17 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki and Clint Barmes both drove in two runs during a seven-run ninth Wednesday, boosting Colorado to a 10-2 win over San Diego.
With Colorado protecting a one-run lead going into the final inning, the Rockies teed off on relievers Cla Meredith and Glendon Rusch.
Mark Redman (2-1) picked up the win, giving up two runs on three hits over five innings. Justin Germano (0-1) allowed three runs over seven innings to take the loss.
Chris Iannetta walked to start the ninth and went all the way to third when Willy Taveras laid down a bunt single on which catcher Josh Bard made a throwing error.
Scott Podsednik then singled home Iannetta. Tulowitzki followed with a double that drove in both runners and opened the floodgates to a big inning.
