HOUSTON, April 17 (UPI) -- James Blake and Mardy Fish both picked up victories Wednesday at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship.

Sam Querrey, meanwhile, was ousted by Nicolas Massu.

Blake was an easy 6-4, 6-4 winner over Kei Nishikori, setting up a meeting with 15-year-old Ryan Harrison Thursday.

Harrison surprised Pablo Cuevas in the first round Monday, joining Richard Gasquet and Rafael Nadal as the only players since 1990 to win ATP matches while under the age of 16.

Fish got past Hugo Armando 6-3, 6-2.

Massu took out Querrey in a match that lasted almost three hours 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

In other opening-round action, Paul Capdeville defeated Diego Hartfield 6-0, 6-4 and Peter Luczak was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Harel Levy.
